ARTWORK REQUIREMENTS AND TIPS

The quality of your imprint depends upon the quality of your artwork supplied.

Artwork requirements for Stamps, Engraved Items or Laser Cut Items
All artwork needs to be sent in as Black & White - CAMERA READY - VECTOR
art.

Artwork requirements for Sublimation Items, Printed Items (Banners, Business
cards ect)
Vector artwork is preferred.  It provides the best quality and allows images to
be resized without loss of sharpness and detail.

Signature stamp art requirements are listed on the signature stamp product page.

All artwork that needs additional services will be given an estimate and no
artwork will be altered until pricing is approved and a deposit made.

All AI files need to be saved WITH COMPRESSION.

All files should be saved at 600 dpi or higher or at 100% of final size or larger.

Scanned or Faxed artwork is not recommended.

All fonts must be converted to curves.

If fonts cannot be converted to curves a TTF (True Type Font) file should be
emailed to anna@gloverstamp.com.  There will be a small charge to convert
fonts to curves from TTF.

You can email your artwork directly to anna@gloverstamp.com.  Please include
your order number in the subject line of your email.

Glover will not contact any outside source for your artwork such as a previous
product provider or designer.

Recommendations: Fonts are at least 8 point.  Bold fonts only over 10 point.

UPLOADING ARTWORK
You can upload a black and white jpg, gif or png file.
Finished artwork can be uploaded in formats pdf, jpg, gif, png,
ai (compressed) or psd.

BLACK AND WHITE
Black and White artwork must include true black at RGB 0-0-0 or CMYK
0-0-0-100 and white at RGB 255-255-255 or CMYK 0-0-0-0
Includes no color, shading or greyscale.

What is vector?
Vector is a graphic made up of lines and curves allowing it to be scaled up or
down without loss of quality.

EPS files -
Vector art is usually saved in EPS format.  Not all EPS files are vector.  Adobe
Photoshop also saves raster graphics in EPS format.  If you open you file in
Photoshop and save it, it will no longer be vector, it transforms the graphic to
a raster graphic.

What is raster?
Raster is a bitmap file.  A bitmap is made up of patterns or picture elements
called PIXELS.  These files should be saved in the highest quality possible and
will only reproduce quality product if left as is.  When a bitmap is scaled or
resaved it results in a low quality image.
BMP, TIFF, GIF AND JPEG files are examples of bitmap graphics.

What is high resolution/low resolution?
In electronic imaging the measurement of printout quality of bitmap images is
detailed in DOTS PER INCH or DPI.
Images for screen viewing are usually 72dpi - this is low quality.
Images for ideal reproduction  are usually 600 dpi or higher - this is high quality.
If your graphic is too low quality the image will appear fuzzy.
For large projects like banners vector art is suggested because high quality art
cannot be produced large enough for transfer.
NOTE:  Anytime you increase the measurements of a bitmap you lower the quality.
IE:  a 3” x 3” image saved at 300dpi stretched to 6” x 6” is now only 150 dpi.

We know that this is a lot of information on artwork.  If you have any questions
regarding your artwork or what type of artwork needed for your project please
contact us at 214-824-6900 we would be happy to help.  If you would like to email
your graphic to us to see if your artwork will work for your project you are
welcome to email your artwork to anna@gloverstamp.com with your inquiry.
